On our 966th Post we have reached a new Milestone of 79,000 Plus Pageviews for gatzkART! We thank you for your interest in our Artwork and in our explanation of workflow to create it.

Today I took a Rust Texture at 300dpi and resampled it to a larger file for display. I used the Font Chic Decay for the milestone announcement. Which I duplicated in dark brown for effect. Then reversing the effect I used the Font American Bravado with yellow for it's background and the dark brown for the forefront.

I did Enhance the saturation of the riveted rust by increasing it by 11. And since it was already in display size I saved it. All work was done in Corel PhotoPaint.

I recently retrieved some photographs for painting from the Painter Talk Forums. I Auto-painted them with varying results. These were shared with us for painting exercises and I chose to use Corel Painter Photo Essentials 4 to "Paint" them. I have yet more to experiment with.

Each title describes the image and auto paint features used on them. I truly enjoy Painter Photo Essentials 4 for it's versatility and easy use for making great paintings from good source materials.

gatzkART! reached the 30,000+ Pageviews milestone overnight! We want to thank our regular readers and also the newly interested ones for helping us make this goal.

Today's image is a Digital Collage created in Corel's PhotoPaint using the scan, cut and paste, and erase methods. The pieces of the collage coming from various sources. After I completed assembly of the collage I saved the large file.

I opened with PSP Pro X3 to add the ornate picture frame I like for these types of collages. I resized for display here and added my signature.

Corel's new version of Paintshop Photo Pro X4 is now on sale with a shortened name at Corel.com.

I would like to update but finances do not allow at this time. It has many new features and includes a improved HDR image creation tool. I have found that it is so hard to keep up with upgrades, I know that others are sympathetic.

Here is an image done from a photograph taken by my son Keir M. Gatzka of a young engaged couple hugging. I used similar techniques as other photographs in Paint.NET, PhotoPaint, Filter Forge's Frames. I used autumn tones for this warm image.
