"Cyanotype Textured Guitar Collection" Paint.NET - Plus

Cyanotype Guitar Collection

Using Picasa 3.9 I browsed for a Guitar Grouping photograph. I selected this one, a nice collection of Guitars. I opened with Corel PSP Pro X3 and used the Digital Camera Noise Removal and also Resized it to 300.0dpi. I applied the Saturation Vibrancy to it to enhanced the colors.

I applied another feature that made it look like an older film photograph using Timeline. I saved that large iteration. From Picasa I opened with Paint.NET using the Ink Sketch tool for texture. I then applied the Adjustment (after adding a border) of a Cyanotype photograph.

Saving that I opened with Corel PhotoPaint, added my signature and resampled for display.

"Blue Guitars" Digital Collage - Corel PhotoPaint - PSP Pro X3

Blue Guitars

Today's image is a Digital Collage of a texture from Mayang's Textures (of concrete,) two photographs of Gals playing Guitar, and two photographs of Guitars hung in display.

I browsed in Picasa 3.9 and found all the images with the exception of the texture which is newly downloaded as of yesterday. It is a densely packed collage with redundant guitar images and a Blue's color. I built the original image in Corel's PhotoPaint, but I also used Paint.NET for the Ink Sketch and Pencil Sketch tools.

After I amassed the collage to where I wanted it, I applied the blue tint to it in Picasa 3.9. I saved the file and opened with Corel's PSP Pro X3 adding a rough frame then adding the Cyan frame after that.

I added my signature and resampled for display in PhotoPaint.

Yellow - Color Burnt Guitars - Mayang's Textures - Dover Clip Art - PhotoPaint

Guitars have been the motif theme for a few days as I have done some Digital Collage work. I selected some guitar photographs and used Paint.NET's Ink Sketch filter for the largest photograph. Plucking a texture from Mayang's Textures, a yellow scratched metal plate, for the background, in Picasa 3.

In PhotoPaint I applied the guitars with the object property Color Burn for a rusty burnt look. I found a double piece of music from Dover Publications to add the notes and titles to the image.

I used the Tone Curve for some depth and upped the saturation by 15, one of my usual techniques for digital collage and other images. I applied Filter Forge's halftone frame in brown to complete the piece.

More Motor City Guitars - High Contrast - Grunge - PhotoPaint

Electric Guitars at Motor City Guitars, Waterford, Michigan

More grunge high contrast electric guitars from Motor City Guitars. I really like doing this series of images. Something about the colors and the grungy feeling appeals to me. I followed many of the same steps as recently posted using PhotoPaint and Filter Forge's tools.

Hard pressed for time today so little in the way of a written post. See previous posts for the steps taken to produce this image, please.

Racks of Acoustic Guitars - High Contrast - PhotoPaint

Racks of Acoustic Guitars - High Contrast

A short post today. I did another in my series of high contrast guitar images. I selected this photograph taken at Motor City Guitar. I opened with PhotoPaint and used the Local Equalization tool for the contrast.

I applied the Tone Curve for depth, and increased the saturation for a boost to the color. Using Filter Forge's Photo Effects Vibrance I applied for even more contrast. Then I finished with Filter Forge's film frame and my signature. I saved the large file and resampled for display here.

Stone Grunge Guitars Grid - PhotoPaint

I was browsing a musician's website and went to his photo gallery where he displays a grid of his guitar collection. I was immediately taken by the grid of rectangular guitar images. I did a screen capture and contacted the musician about using this in an image to gain his permission.

His name is Edward Sparks and credit for the grid of guitars goes to "M. Edward Sparks/Pepperland Productions", along with my many thanks for the use of this great piece of image making. His website is really good and he has, along with his guitar collection, some great videos to view and listen to him perform. [CLICK HERE] for the link to his site. I invite you to go there and enjoy his music and well done site. We are both members of the Acoustic Guitar Community where we share music and music based videos, groups, photograph and discussion concerning our love of acoustic guitars.

I used a stone background from Mayang's Textures and assembled the piece in PhotoPaint. I used object property Multiply for the guitar grid. I was going for a grunge look and feel so I darkened the image using the Tone Curve and upped the saturation for that rusty stone color. I added a film frame from Filter Forge's frames.
