Shards of Glass - Sun Catcher
At Colasanti's Gift Shop I was able to photograph a couple of sun catchers made of shards of glass placed together into a composition.
I opened this photograph in PhotoPaint and adjusted it with the Tone Curve and a slight boost of saturation. I used the Effects> Texture> Plastic> to add more of a 3D impression to it. To this I added a film frame using Filter Forge, which gave it a dark finish.
All in all the composition held so much interest of its own I did not manipulate it further. The disparate shards of glass have a wonderful way of capturing the light and the Plastic texture I used emphasized this well for the finished piece.
